Business Intelligence Associate - TH

 
 

The Business Intelligence Associate is responsible for overseeing and managing overall data ingestion from assorted sources and restructure it to allow efficient and insightful reporting. He/she will lead the design, development, and implementation of the data warehouse. He/she is responsible for ensuring that the data warehouse processes are efficient, cost-effective and with a focus on long term scalability. He/she must be a proactive problem solver with a desire to collaborate with others and develop better product solution for continuous improvement. He/she must be able to analyze data and processes, find creative solutions, generate reports, and present findings to upper management and other departments.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead data transformation and integration from diverse data sources, such as e-commerce platform or our own Order Management System, enabling a central view across the enterprise.

  • Perform performance optimization and tuning on new and/or existing data warehouse implementations.

  • Restructure the data so that it delivers excellent query performance, even for complex analytic queries, without impacting the operational systems.

  • Improve data quality, by providing consistent codes and descriptions, flagging or even fixing bad data.

  • Translate data into insights to be able to answer business questions.

  • Present the organization's information consistently.

  • Make decision–support queries easier to write.

  • Continue professional and technical growth through corporate and personnel initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a data engineering role.

  • Expert knowledge of SQL and related SQL procedure languages.

  • Proficient in Python programming language.

  • Familiar with data ETL from a wide variety of data sources.

  • Experience with pipeline and workflow management tools.

  • Experience with code versioning, code review and documentation

  • Working knowledge of cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP etc).

  • Knowledge of a Cloud Database Management System such as Snowflake is a plus.

  • Hands-on experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus.

  • E-commerce background is a plus.

  • Self-starter mentality with ability to manage multiple projects, and learn by trial and error.
