Finance Manager

 

With highly organized skill and positive can-do attitude, the Finance Manager is a trusted experienced support professional performing finance and some operations related tasks. They plan, organize, schedule and budget in an efficient, and organized manner focusing on key priorities. The brand finance manager will be responsible in the brand’s financial requirements. This role will be one of the key people who will have a direct interaction with the brand’s representative. 

To be considered for this exciting and dynamic role, you will need experience within general finance processes with excellent communication skills to build relationships with internal teams and external customers. The Finance Manager must be highly adaptable and is keen to learn and improve their own performance with a high level of detail.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Full Ownership of Brand Finances: Take the lead in managing all financial and administrative activities for the assigned brand, directly contributing to its financial goals. 

  • Design and Implement Robust Financial Frameworks: Develop, implement, and maintain brand-specific financial systems, controls, and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency across all financial processes. 

  • Strategic Financial Partnering: Serve as the primary finance point of contact for the brand, collaborating closely with the Brand Manager and Country Head on strategic initiatives, business planning, and operational budgeting. 

  • Budgeting and Forecasting Expertise: Spearhead the preparation and management of the brand's budget, providing insightful analysis of variances and developing accurate financial forecasts. 

  • Comprehensive Financial Reporting and Analysis: Generate timely and accurate financial reports, interpret financial data to the management team, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement and growth. 

  • End-to-End Accounts Payable Management: Oversee the full cycle of invoice processing and payments, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements in coordination with the Brand Finance Associate. 

  • Proactive Issue Resolution: Identify, analyze, and resolve financial and administrative challenges within the brand, taking ownership and ensuring smooth operations. 

  • Cost Management and Optimization: Conduct in-depth cost analysis, evaluate pricing strategies, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements. 

  • Audit and Compliance Liaison: Act as the key point of contact for auditors, ensuring the brand's finances are monitored appropriately and comply with all relevant regulations. 

  • Mentorship and Guidance: Provide guidance and support to the Brand Finance Associate, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with various departments to align on brand plans and contribute to informed decision-making. 

  • Financial Trend Analysis and Projections: Develop insightful financial trends and projections to support strategic planning and forecasting accuracy. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field 

  • Min 5 years of experience in a similar role 

  • Experience in accounting firm or in-house finance role, with operational finance experience strongly preferred 

  • Prior experience managing finances for multiple departments or brands 

  • Accountability and adoption of a ‘business-owner’ work mentality 

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse people  

  • Meticulous attention to detail and a proven track record of good financial ‘housekeeping’ 

  • Initiative to problem-solve quickly and with minimal disruption 

  • Flexibility and the ability to multi-task in a demanding, fast-paced environment 

  • Highly process- and solutions-oriented personality 

  • Interest or experience in start-up companies, and/or entrepreneurship 

  • Savvy in technology, and a keen interest in how technology can transform finance 

  • Professional qualification such as CPA or similar will be considered a plus 

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively 

  • Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally
